Stracor carries out work for a diversified group of public and private sector clients. Our vast and varied experience is in the hotel, hospitality, corporate, commercial, institutional and technology sectors. Stracor earns its’ place on invitation lists by meeting and exceeding the prequalification requirements of our clients. We serve corporations, developers, building owners, commercial and retail businesses, landlords, tenants, architects and designers. Our GC services include corporate, commercial, hotel, hospitality and retail landlord and tenant renovations, fit-outs, improvements office alterations, additions, building retrofits, facility upgrades and improvements, new construction and hazardous materials remediation and reconstruction.

Construction Management

Stracor’s experience delivering Construction Management in the public and private sector is extensive, completing over $60 Million worth of projects in the last few of years. Our clients choose CM for two reasons – control and co-operation. Stracor is brought in early to become a stakeholder through all phases of a project – design, procurement, construction, commissioning and even the warranty review stage. This means cost, schedule, quality, health and safety, communications, and documentation is controlled to the clients’ standards by one entity.

Acting as the client’s representative and partner Stracor manages the project through Pre-Construction, Construction and Post-Construction with the client’s goals and requirements fully understood. Co-operation between all key project groups is managed through Stracor. The client, their design and consulting team, any jurisdictional authorities, the sub-trades and, suppliers, building operators, facility staff, and any other stakeholders, are part of a team, with Stracor providing the co-ordination for communications, planning, execution and follow-up to all facets of a project. We work with our clients to be a start to finish Construction Manager to ensure the success of any assignment.

Design Build

All construction projects begin as an idea and it is how they go from idea to completed projects that makes them successful or not.  With over 20 years experience in all kinds of construction, Stracor has the knowledge and know-how to take a client’s idea and make it a reality. Stracor acts as the client’s agent, overseeing and managing the project through design, site plan approval, building permit approval, implementation and tendering, construction and commissioning and hand over.

Stracor certifies and picks the appropriate Design and Consulting team, value engineers the project constantly to find the best budget orientated design and building products, qualifies the needed sub-trades and manages them through construction, ensures all Health and Safety requirements are met throughout the project, supervises the daily operation and construction on the project site, manages the project budget from start to finish, coordinates all suppliers and commissioning of equipment, acquires all warranty’s and hands over a completed project to our client.

Safety & Security

Stracor prides itself on completing projects using safety conscious staff and trades, safe work sites, and on availing ourselves of the best training and equipment we can get to ensure safe environments during construction. We ensure our managers, site staff and tradesmen are certified in all required safety procedures, are knowledgeable of the Health & Safety Act, keep their training current, are oriented to our H&S policy and practices, and are monitored for compliance. Site safety means a happier more productive work force, and that means high quality, more control over our work, and better co-operation by all involved. It means our clients don’t need to worry.
Security is the other key component of the Safety and Security Service we provide. Stracor ensures all Staff – both ours and our trades – are cleared to work anywhere, anytime. Security clearance measures are followed to ensure our clients have the knowledge that people working with their staff, in their space and in their buildings are accepted by police forces and security companies everywhere. We are cleared to work in schools, courthouses, police detachments, communications facilities, banks, and anywhere else security is a priority. No client needs to worry about Stracor personnel getting cleared to work in their facility or our ability to mobilize the people needed to get a project done.

Our staff of over 20 includes professional project managers, estimators, co-ordinators, financial administrative personnel, and site supervisors. Stracor provides training and career development opportunities to all to ensure they stay current and knowledgeable, and to improve on already impressive skills and experience. Our people come from a varied background in design and construction. We have staff who built out of the ground hotel and hospitality, project managers from the telecommunications industry, others with vast and varied experience in government (courts, jails, police, government office and admin facilities), and still more in the building infrastructure field. All are brought together to work as a team so our ability to take on almost any project is maximized.
